Many people practice alternative healing methods. The area of tooth decay, cavities and dental hygiene is no exception when it comes to alternative healing that can help your body. If you normally think that alternative healing methods have to be uncomfortable or even taste bad, you will be glad to hear that new candy lollipops deter cavities.
Renowned and well-respected UCLA microbiologist named Wenyuan Shi has created a sugar-free candy lollipop that will fight tooth decay and cavities. If you are fighting carbohydrates, on a low-sugar diet or even diabetic, you can now enjoy the great taste of these lollipops while also helping your dental hygiene. It is a fun way to whiten teeth, reduce cavities and take care of your oral needs all in one great tasting sugar-free candy lollipop.
What makes this lollipop so special, other than it is sugar free? The primary ingredient of the fun lollipops is licorice root extract also known as Glycyrrhiza Uralensis. As an alternative healing option, many people have been eating and chewing licorice for years. The microbiologist discovered a way to harness the extract in sugar-free candy lollipops so that everyone can enjoy the healing benefits of licorice root extract.
According to the famous professor, licorice extract has more healing properties than simply keeping your teeth pearly white and reducing the number of cavities you might experience. Other health benefits include the deterrence of strep throat. Those that use licorice extract have fewer cases of strep throat. This means that both adults and kids could benefit from these sugar-free candy lollipops for more than just oral hygiene. Can you imagine telling your kids to please eat a lollipop to prevent strep throat? Most kids would love this idea! You don’t have to tell them that it is good for them.
Another great use of the sugar-free candy lollipops is the claim by the professor that they help to reduce and prevent stomach ulcers. The licorice extract that is in the lollipops helps to reduce the acid in the stomach and thus making the chances of stomach ulcers slimmer. Now, even adults have yet another reason to try out these great sugar-free candy lollipops.
How do the licorices extract based sugar-free candy lollipops work? The first thing that they do is increase the amount of natural salvia that your mouth produces while you are eating them. This in turn reduces the amount of bacteria that can build up in the mouth at any one time causing oral hygiene problems. Additionally, the licorices extract based sugar-free candy lollipops contain anti-bacteria qualities that will prevent bacteria from sticking to the teeth. It is a winning situation for everyone!
These orange flavored lollipops are recommended to be allowed to slowly dissolve in your mouth right after breakfast. Then as a bedtime treat, have another one right before you rest for the evening. Two lollipops are suggested for use for a total of 10 days to effectively benefit from the licorice extract qualities. You can have more throughout the year and many people do because the taste is so great and they will not harm you if they are not consumed in excess.
Sound Therapy for Better Sleep and Relaxation

Do you have trouble sleeping?…or maybe just need a tranquil atmosphere to unwind? I suggest giving sound therapy a try.
Adequate and proper sleep is very important to overall health. Sleep deprivation or restless sleep affects your daily performance and can cause you to function at a very low level, both physically and mentally. Proper sleep is as important as a healthy diet and exercise.
We all need to replenish from the daily grind. Taking time to relax is not always easy. Sound therapy helps produce a relaxing atmosphere and can also be used along with deep-breathing exercises or meditation.
A friend gave me a Tranquil Moments® Sound Therapy System for Christmas. The machine is supposed to promote relaxation, renewal and a deeper state of sleep. There are several different sound effects. The machine is based on more than 23 years of research and supposedly works in relation to Delta, Alpha and Theta brain waves, matching the frequency.
My particular machine has 12 preprogrammed sounds, including ocean surf, thunderstorms, rain, summer night, celestial and several more. They are broken into three categories, sleep, relax and renew. There’s a volume control and also a 30, 60 and 90-minute timer option.
I was skeptical, but wasn’t going to pass up the opportunity to see if the machine worked. The first night I tried it, I experimented with several sound effects. My favorite is under the category “relax” and the sound effect is “unwind”. I cannot say if it’s a coincidence, but the sound therapy has made a believer out of me. I turn the machine on, set it to my favorite effect and before long I’m snoozing comfortably. Some nights I forget to turn the machine on and you guessed it…I’m much more restless and have trouble getting to sleep.
Certain sound effects on the machine help create a rhythm that makes deep-breathing exercises more calming and enjoyable.
If you think about it…music has a powerful way of altering our mood, so it stands to reason that sound therapy can indeed, positively affect our sleep and help us relax. It’s well worth a try!

Chamomile is a very popular aromatherapy scent that people like to use. It is often combined with jasmine, bergamot and even combined with clary sage. The primary use of Chamomile is to produce a calming and relaxing mood in the room. The scent is not really strong and does not last a long time.
Cinnamon is often thought to be associated with the holidays. However, many people use the aromatic scent of cinnamon to refresh and vitalize the spirit and the mind. If you come in from a busy day at work, you might want to light a few cinnamon candles to give you energy and a lift instead of feeling groggy and tired. Cinnamon is also very popular to scent a room on a foggy or rainy day when people tend to be tired.
Lavender is a very popular scent to use with aromatherapy. One reason is that Lavender mixes well when combined with citrus scents, clove scent, rosemary scent and even pine scent. Lavender is believed to provide a sense of balance and comfort. Some people believe that Lavender can even help with certain medical conditions and aromatherapy with Lavender is supposedly a catalyst to help with natural body healing. For people that want to feel more calm, less stressed and more balanced Lavender is often the choice of scent for aromatherapy.

Aromatherapy has gained popularity as an alternative healing and mood inducer through the years. More and more people are learning about the different herbs and essential oils associated with aromatherapy. For a beginner in the field you can light incense or candles to create moods and take advantage of aromatherapy.
Lemon is a common scent and is very popular for aromatherapy. Lemony is believed to purify the spirit and invigorate the soul. Lemon often reminds people of a fresh and clean scent. You can use Lemon in aromatherapy to give yourself a lift and mask any unpleasant odors in a room such as pets, smoke or cooking odors.
Another scent that will lift your senses and spirits is Nutmeg. Nutmeg is often used in conjunction with cinnamon. Combining these scents is believed to give you a new burst of energy and rejuvenate your spirit. This is an excellent scent to burn in candles when you are feeling a little slow or groggy for the day. Other refreshing and energizing scents also include Pine and Peppermint.
Experiment around with the different scents to see which ones work the best to help your moods. You can sprinkle oils on the skin but be careful not to put too much. Some oils are a little harsh for the skin so be certain that it is a mild oil that won’t irritate you or your mood will definitely not be changed for the better.

Many people do not realize the importance of darkness to help them to sleep. We are so used to being in a world that is full of light. Not only is there sunlight but we have lights all around the home. The television, alarm clock and even computer screen emit light into the room.
Our bodies will naturally be more tired with darkness. Have you ever noticed that you seem more fatigued on a rainy day or even during the middle of a movie at the theater? Your body senses the darkness and the mind prepares for sleep.
One of the best things to do about an hour before you lay down at night to rest is to darken your home. If you are watching television, lower the brightness on the TV screen. Turn off the lights in the room. This will allow you to watch your show to relax while your brain gets in gear to go to sleep. You will be amazed at how much easier it is to rest if you use darkness as your friend.

Did you know that having a pet can increase your will to live? It’s absolutely true! I know of many seniors that are determined to out-live their pets. They don’t want to leave their pets behind to be cared for or even be a burden on other people. For this reason, they make certain to take better care of themselves so that they can literally out-live their pets.
If you are depressed a pet can help you a lot. Why? You are responsible for getting out of the bed each day to care for your pet. At times when you don’t want to get out of bed and face life, you won’t have any other choice but to so that you care for your pet. This will increase your over-all mood and make it easier to have the will to get out of the depression.
A pet also requires that you take them on walks each day. This is an excellent form of exercise. Having this pet responsibility can increase your will to live and make it easier to stay healthy to have a longer life. Pets are adorable and loving but they also increase the will to live in many individuals.

I’ve had trouble sleeping for more than 14 years and have been looking for natural ways to solve this without addictive sleeping pills. I came across a website that is an encyclopedia of natural remedies and thought I would share.
There is a long list of ailments and remedies that you can try to solve your problems. They begin with the principles of health and work their way up and down the body and finally land at poisons.
Be aware that you are trying these at your own risk. Consult a physician before you do.
