Walking is an exercise. It is very easy to do. It is painless but is really a powerful form of exercise. A person can burn at least one hundred calories for every mile he walks. One hundred calories may not sound that much but adding it up each time you walk will increase it dramatically.
Walking is an ideal exercise but it should be under an ideal walking program too. The ideal walking program is consist of at least fifteen to twenty minutes walk and at least three times a week. However, to gain the maximum benefits of this exercise, a person should involve the whole body and not just drag the feet off the floor. Involving the whole body includes bending the elbows, flexing the hips and torso and relaxing the chest and the shoulders. Steps should be brisk and comfortable but in a challenging way. You can walk to your work if possible. Less expenses for the fare though you have to start early. You can also walk the mall- wide establishments you enjoy spending your time for your shopping. But try controlling your urges to do a lot of spending. You are there to walk for your health. Remember, you have to put on some speed because the faster you walk, the faster you burn your calories.

There are lots of toxins in our community. We may not know it but we aquire there toxic elements everyday. No matter how cautious we are, we are not that safe from these elements.
There is pollution, both air and water; there are pesticides used in the fruits and vegetables we eat because we believe that they can give us the vitamins and minerals we need for better health; there food preservatives that we consume from ready to eat foods, canned goods, no cook meals and easy to prepare meals. All saying no preservatives and foods that we believe helpful to busy working people like us.; then there’s artificial food coloring and flavoring that enhances the food’s appearance and taste. All of these are toxic elements that our body takes in almost every day. However, our body tries to eliminate all these toxins. Our body has a liver to do the work. Our liver is considered as the organ in charge of housekeeping. It tries to cleanse our body from toxins. But, we have to help this body organ from that big task. Our body may hold too much toxins and we have to help the liver flush out toxins that may cause further damage. How can we get these toxins out? How can we flush them out of our system?
Pouring a glass of juice everyday can help us cleanse our body from these toxins. In addition, these fruits and vegetable juices can help boost our immune system and prevent a varity of diseases that will damage our body especially our only liver.
Fresh fruits and vegetables made into juices contains certain compounds considered as anti-oxidants. Drinking up a variety of fruits and vegetables is a wonderful way to get a great amount of all their healing elements. Drink more and flush more. Get those toxins out.

A lot of diets nowadays; Vegetarian diets;Low calorie diet; No carbohydrate diet; less fat diet;No salt diet;all steamed diet and more. But what diet is really good for you? Each and everyone of us has a particular need for our health. We cannot just follow one regimen even if we believe that it will be a good one for us. We have to be sure that what we will follow for our health’s sake is what will really help us healthy and strong.Food is what we really need. Not a particular food or a particular diet but a balanced diet. Food has healing benefits especially vegetables and fruits. There are particular foods that can help particular health problems. Maybe not as a cure of an existing illness but as a way of slowing its effects. It was said that prevention is better than cure. What we can get from food can help us prevent these illnesses. It will lower our risks from major health problems including the killer cancer. Greens, the leafy green vegetables can give our health a boost. It can give us fiber that fights colon cancer. And the carbohydrates that some people refuse to eat, such as rice…actually aids our digestion. Fruits such as berries and fruits from the citrus family are really rich in vitamins that will protect us from viruses such as the swine flu or the AH1N1. Cauliflowers and broccoli contain cancer-fighting vitamins that will boost our immunity. Neglecting our food, cutting our food intake is not the wise decision for good health. It can be the reason for us to lower our immunity against diseases. Eat everything in moderation. Control yourself. Avoid health hazards like smoking and drinking liquor. Water is still the best drink. Fruit juices will be next especially if they are made from fresh fruits. Do not be afraid of food. We need food for our health. We only have to watch what food we are eating to be sure of what we are getting for our health. Enjoy your meals!
