As I mentioned in a previous post, there are some benefits from drinking a glass of red wine, but the most important thing to remember is moderation. But did you know that there really is a specific time of the day when it is better to drink alcohol than others. Well if you have a alcoholic beverage make sure it’s between the hours of 5 pm and 6pm. The reason being your liver can metabolize alcohol more efficiently and can detoxify your body the quickest during this time.

We all lead stressful lives and stress is not good for our health, it actually helps weaken our immune system. My small little tip for everyone out there is to take a few seconds a day and just breathe. You can do this at your desk in the car, wherever you are feeling stressed. Take in a few deep breathes and let them out. You will be amazed at how this little exercise can refocus all your negative energy to positive energy. Also if you are feeling really stressed and angry take those deep breathes and count to ten in the process.

One may not classify this as a healthy living tip, but I feel it is. After all you only have one set of teeth after your permanent teeth come in and you should do whatever it takes to keep them clean and keep them healthy. One tip that people may not know is you should hold off on brushing your teeth 30 minutes to an hour after you have eaten or drank something lemony or full of critic acid. This can wear down the enamel on your teeth. The best thing to do is rinse your mouth with water or drink a glass of milk. Milk is a neutralizer and is also good for keeping your teeth strong.
