All these years we have heard that coffee is unhealthy for us to drink. But that is simply not true. Coffee has many health benefits so pour yourself a cup and know that you are doing yourself a huge favor.
Drinking coffee can help you lower your risk of diabetes. Just be sure that you do not load the cup down with sugar. It can also help reduce colon cancer so pour yourself another cup.
Did you know that coffee can also lower your risk for Parkinson’s? It is true. One study says the more you drink the lower your risks are . Up to 80 percent less likely to get Parkinson’s.
The benefits far outweigh the risks of drinking coffee. Drinking at least 2 cups a day can lower your risk for colon cancer by 25%.
You can also have a lower risk of chirosis if you drink coffee. Great news for your liver.
If you drink coffee you can also reduce the size of gallstone formation and help with gallbladder disease.
Coffee also reduces the risk of alzheimers disease as well as dementia.
Coffee will help wake your body up because of the caffiene in it. People often have to have a few cups of it after waking up to help them get through the day. And now they do not need to feel bad or guilty about it because it is good for you!

Beef and Broccoli

Want a quick and easy meal that the whole family will enjoy? And no I am not talking about going through a drive thru either. You can easily make beef and broccoli at home that is tasty, low fat and make you craving more.
Begin by picking what kind of meat you will use. Pick either a steak that has almost no fat in it or some stew meat. If you do the steak, cut into strips. If you do the stew meat, cook over a stove until done, then boil for a few minutes. I like to boil it so it gets nice and tender.
Cook the steak or stew meat until no longer pink. Drain the fat, and then add some garlic powder. It is up to you how much you add. Then add a can of cream of broccoli soup, trying to make sure it is a lower fat kind. Then add a forth of a cup of water and a tablespoon of soy sauce. Bring to a boil and then add two cups of frozen broccoli. Cook covered until the broccoli is done.
In the mean time, cook some egg noodles or even rice. Serve the broccoli and beef over either one of them. I also add a handful of cheese in with my beef and broccoli just so a little extra calcium is in the meal. Enjoy with a nice lettuce salad or a good crusty bread.

Achy feet

DO you ever get achy feet? That just hurt because you have either walked all over on them or were just standing all day long? Well here is a thought that can soothe them. Just find an old tub to soak them in. I love the tubs from Walmart that are like $1 or so each. They are big enough to hold my feet yet easy enough to move and store
So you begin with adding some warm water to the tub. If you do not have any thing else to add then that is fine. But for achy feet, why not try some Epsom salts added to the water? This will really help get your feet out or the achy mode. Or you could add some essential oils to soften your feet as well. Wake up the tired feet by adding some peppermint oil to the tub. Or how about using a little oil of eucalyptus in the water instead. This oil is very very powerful so you only need a little bit in order for you to get a good soak.
Soak your tired feet for about 15 minutes. LOnger if you feel you need to. Then towel them off and your feet should feel a lot better. Maybe not quite as achy or sore as they were before you started the soak. If you feel like it you could also add a few marbles to the bottom of the tub and rub your feet across them to get out any kinks.

You too can achieve a great looking face that is natural looking with makeup. Yes you can look natural with makeup on! Just get some mineral makeup and be ready to go. Always start on a clean face because the makeup will adhere better and look fresher if you face is clean.
There are some foundations that are mineral makeup but other mineral foundations are powder form. I feel that the actual liquid form covers better. But you can use whatever you wish. Then lightly brush your face with a mineral powder.
Swipe your eyes with a shadow that compliments your skin tone and is natural at the same time. Then use a few coats of black or brown mascara to really bring out the eyes.
Swirl some natural color blush onto the apples of the cheeks, being sure to blend well. THen you can add a natural shade of lipstick. I prefer to use all mineral makeup from my foundation to my lipstick. Mineral makeup is made for sensitive skin and it is free of talc and fragrance so it is completely safe for your face. It contains pur mineral pigments and is enriched with vitamins as well. It is great for all skin types. Even sensitive skin.

Egg on the face

You may be reading my title thinking what is she talking about? but yes you can put egg on your face. I know what you are thinking that sounds gross and disguisting and I would never do that. I did not think I could do it either but you know what? Once you try it it is really not all that bad. It feels weird at first but then you just get used to it. Here are some tips for you to use.
Start with a cleansed face. Making sure your face is clean will get your face the cleanest. Just wash with your normal face wash and dry your face well. then add an egg that you have beaten well. I like to sponge mine on with a cotton ball. Then allow it to dry for about 15 to 20 minutes. It may start to feel tight but this is what you want. Once it is dried, you can wash off with warm water. Your face should feel clean and tight. Plus your pores might even look smaller.
I like to do this once a week or so. If you like you could even do it every day since it is all natural and very gentle. I never use a whole egg on my face and usually can keep a cracked egg for a day or two in a container that has been sealed.

I want strong bones and I also need them. I do not want to end up all humped over when I am older in my 70s and 80s or even older. I want my bones then to be strong. So I realized I had to take care of my bones today in order for that to happen. Here are some things that one can do for stronger healthier bones.
Get plenty of calcium in your diet. That includes at least three servings of it a day. This could be from milk, cheese, ice cream, yogurt. It does not really matter where you are getting your calcium from as long as you are getting enough of it.
A great source of calcium is eating a container of yogurt every day. It has lots of calcium in it.
Or add some calcium to your diet by adding a slice of cheese to your sandwich. Or buy fortified with calcium products, such as orange juice or butter or even bread.
If you have to make up for lost calcium take a calcium pill. IF you do not like milk, then try adding some flavor to it with chocolate drink mix or strawberry Quick. It may add a few extra calories but as long as you are getting your daily recommended calcium it should not make that big of a difference.
They also have chew out now that you just eat. Each one has a certain percentage of your daily calcium intake. They taste great so they are a decent way to get your calcium intake up.

I love fried food a lot. It is very tasty to me and if I had to give it up it would be hard. I know it is not healthy for me at all but that does not change the fact that it tastes amazing. So I figured out some good substitutions for not eating foods that are deep fat fried. Here are some options that will make your food a little healthier.
Instead of frying your french fries, why not bake them? Use a high heat, such as 450 degrees and bake the fries until they are golden and crispy. Or they do make fries made especially for the oven that crisp up quite nice.
Or you can always try shake and bake. Shake and bake offers a crispiness that has lots of flavor as well. You can use this for potatoes, chicken and other meats such as pork.
They also have sheets that you can buy now that are made for foods that you wish to have the fried taste but are rather baked. It is a pan that allows the food to crisp up well. Off hand I can not think of it but I have seen it in one of my catalogs at home.
These are just a few options to get out of the deep fried food mode and into a healthier lifestyle. You can also add lots of the flavor from seasonings and spices that are low in fat and sodium. Or sauces that are lowfat are wonderful to add some spice to things you bake. Give it a try and you may just discover that you really like it.
