Weight loss

There is no separate diet for men and women for losing weight. The average men have a higher metabolic rate than women, because they are heavier, taller and with a higher percentage of lean tissue (muscle). Hence, men eat more and need more calories than women. Apart from this, both men and women can follow the same “healthy eating” type of diet. However, for men and women who do lots of physical work or are professional sportsmen or (muscle builders), they may require more of protein as diet supplements instead of increasing the portion of their food intake. The only to lose weight for both men and women is to follow a simple fat-free diet and do adequate exercise.

If you are a regular eater of fatty meat, giving it up will no doubt reduce your weight, however cutting down on one large and important food group isn’t a good idea. If you are thinking of giving up meat altogether, it would be better to replace it with other proteins like fish and high quality plant foods like pluses, whole grains, nuts, seeds and so on. You will need a way of eating which you can follow for the rest of your life it you want to stay slim, which is actually more important than getting slim.

Life teaches you to cherish and embrace every day. One of the life lessons you must learn is to “slow down and smell the roses.” It’s pretty hard to embrace the day if you are rushing though it.

“Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.”

It’s never too late to change your attitude about your life. You can’t change yesterday, but you can certainly change what you do today and what you do tomorrow.

You must always remember – you are a lifelong commitment to yourself.

How to live a happy life

Surround yourself with cheerful friends.

Keep learning.

Enjoy the simple things.

Cherish your health.

Don’t take guilt trips.

There’s no better time than right now to be happy.

If you want to get most out of life, then have a patience. It teaches us how to enjoy every moment of life.

Common causes of back pain

  2. Lack of exercise and activity that leads to muscle wasting around the spine
  3. Obesity
  4. Smoking, which leads to inhibition of calcium absorption and weakens the spine
  5. Gynecological conditions such as menstrual cramps and pregnancy
  6. Mental stress
  7. Maintaining a wrong posture while working long hours at a desk
  8. Standing for long periods of time, putting too much weight on one leg

Sitting in chairs that are not ergonomically suited for your back

Prevention to back pain

As we know prevention is better than cure, it also is applicable here. Some preventive remedies are:

  1. Maintaining good postures. Don’t slump while sitting
  2. Avoiding sudden strain to the back
  3. Not wearing high heels, which strain the spine and back muscles
  4. Learning how to lift. When lifting heavy objects, get close to them, slowly bend your knees, keeping your back straight. Do not bend over and try to lift, as this puts a lot of strain on the backbone.
  5. Avoiding sudden twisting of the back
  6. Ensuring proper support to the back while sitting for long periods or driving.
  7. Using a right mattress. The mattress should always take the shape of the back. When lying down the imprint of the body should leave a slight depression on the mattress
