Headache remedies without medication

Here are some natural remedies you can use for headaches. You don’t have to take in medication in tablet form to get the desired relief from this quite common ailment.
Massage and meditation is for headache that is stress related and can be relieved by practicing body relaxing and stress relieving theraphy such as massaging and meditation. Self massaging your temple will help as well. A massage with natural oils like eucalytus, rosemary,pepermint will make you feel totally great.
Acupuncture, accupressure and reflexology may not be so convenient but it is a proven relief for migraines as well. Initially you need to seek some proffessional help here to find the correct pressure points and other matters until such time that you know you will be able to administer to your self.
Extreme lightings condition will make you squint your eyes and can trigger a headache. So shut off the light and relax. The darker the better.
Aromatherapy with the essential oils like lavender, peppermint, sandalwood and eucalyptus or combining two of these natural oils are highly effective as quick remedies. You will feel great too.
Applying ice pack to the aching and throbbing part of your head can give you a quick relief from misery.
A warm bath or shower can release stress and headaches as well. Hot shower can improve blood flows to the head.
Drink plenty of water. A dehydration will trigger headaches because our body is not functioning at its best.
A two teaspoons of honey before an attack can relax arteries for a smooth blood flow to the brain and will effectively help stop migraines.
