A good game for children

To get children off the couch, suggest a game of TV tag. TV tag is very easy to play and a wide variety of ages can play.
First you choose someone to be it. Then the person it chases the other people playing. The base it to squat down as you are saying the name of a TV show, such as “The Brady Bunch”, “Home Improvement”, or “CSI”. You can use any TV show that is on now or in the past, as well as cartoons. The only rule is that you can not use a TV show that either you or someone else has said. If you can not think of one by the time the person it touches you, you are it.
You can play this game using foods as well, or by making it a healthy food game. Try listing off names of famous people, names of towns, makes of cars, etc. It is fun for the whole family.
