Normal sleep is good but excessive sleepiness is harmful. It is excessive sleepiness during day time which causes more harm than good.

The excessive sleepiness in medical parlance is referred is referred to as Narcolepsy. Narcolepsy is a sleep disorder marked by excessive day time sleepiness, onset of sudden sleep or sudden loss of muscle while awake.

Incidentally, Narcolepsy does not have a cure. However, changes in lifestyle, regular use of medicines and other therapies can improve the situation.

Increasing weight or obesity and over weight has become a world wide problem in most of the countries and every one is worried about it as the modern life style and fast paced life has given all possibilities to play with the natural requirements of body. Take spicy food and add junk food to your diet once in a day. Take red meat every alternate day which is difficult to digest and results in extra fat to body. Take rest as often as possible and avoid walking completely even for your neighborhood distance. Eat ice creams, desserts and extra sugar to your meals.

Asbestos and Lung Cancer

Use of asbestos has been permanently banned in more than fifty countries because it causes lung cancer and is not curable once affected. Asbestos is made of small synthetic fibers which can be inhaled while breathing and is very dangerous for all age groups. Asbestos is used in all types of buildings and houses very frequently due to its low cost and easy implantation. Besides houses it’s used in brake shoes and other industrial equipments. Controlled usage of asbestos is not possible so it needs to completely ban especially in developed countries like India. Indian government is also thinking about it very seriously and the usage will be withdrawn phase wise.

Small fine fibers of asbestos are inhaled with air which causes coughing and sometimes a person affected from this spits blood. It gets deposited in lungs and causes initially malfunction and pain and later on gets into lung cancer. People working in factories are more prone to such risk so people around the factory premise which uses asbestos should wear mask. This is the only available precaution.
