How to Add Fiber To Your Daily Diet

We all know the importance of having fiber in our daily diets. Here are some ways to add in fiber that are quick and easy:
Eat whole grain breads, crackers and pasta.
Use breakfast cereals that are made from whole grains.
Make your own bread crumbs from toasted whole-grain bread.
Add peas, beans, and lentils to soups, stews and salads.
Leave the skins on fruits and vegetables when possible.
Add grated vegetables to sauce and casseroles.
Use pureed vegetables to thicken soups and stews.
Make tossed salads using all colors of vegetables.
Eat fresh or dried fruits for snacks and desserts.
Use brown rice instead of white. Try millet, barley, wheat and oats for variations also.
Add cooked grains to soups and casseroles.
Replace at least half the flour in baked gods with whole wheat flour.
