daily healty eating
August 10th, 2008 by cotton yusonwe all know that breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day. one should never miss breakfast and should always consider that what we have for this meal is healthy and would sustain us with needed energy for the day. some of us may be in too much hurry to start the day but it takes only a few minutes to munch on a sandwich or a bowl of cereal with milk and fruit. i would sometime take a yogurt or a sandwich if i think i’m running late and just have my breakfast at my desk.
while it’s a big no-no to miss breakfast, we also should consider that what we eat for the rest of the day are healthy and provides the nutrients that we need. it is easy to get bored with the usual sandwich and fruit for lunch so we should bring in some variety, even left over chicken or tuna may go well with a salad for lunch. i would sometime try macaroni salad or penne with tomato sauce and fried or roasted chicken. it’s a great break from the old sandwich lunches.
one could have a number of snack in a day too but should also watch what he/she eats. some great snacks could be nuts, veggies with low-fat dips and a serving of fruits.
dinner could be an easy one - if you don’t have time to prepare dinner, just buy that roasted chicken on the grocer, minute rice and some bagged veggie mix for a salad. the roasted chicken leftovers can do well for lunch the next day.
