Healthy Parents Produce Healthy Children.

Being fit is a way of saying a person eats well, gets a lot of physical activity (exercise), and has a healthy weight. If you’re fit, your body works well, feels good, and can do all the things you want to do (kidshealth.org).

If a parent exhibits an unhealthy lifestyle in front of thier kids, nine times out of ten, the child will acquire the same unhealthy lifestyle.

Drinking lots of water is a great example to set for your kids. Instead of filling your refrigarator with sodas, and highly sweetened juices, purchase bottled water instead.  Water and milk are the best choices of fluids for your body.

Water prevents your body from becoming dehydrated, and also aids in cleansing your body from unclean waste materials.  Milk helps to build strong bones, muscles, and teeth.

Riding your bike, or participating in physical activies with your children will encourage them to become fit and to stay fit.  You and your children will burn more calories by playing a game of soft ball or basketball, than sitting in front of the television, or playing video games for hours.

Everyone loves a sweet treat every now and then. But excessive sugar in any diet is not healthy for our teeth, skin, or our weight. It is always good to subsitute sweets with exotic fruit (kiwi, pineapples, or grapes).

Fast food resturants are producing a lot of overweight adults and overweight children. Instead of the Big Mac, encourage yourself and your child to order a fruit salad.

Healthy Parents will produce healthy children.  Afterall, children live what they learn.
