Moving to Lose Weight

Moving is one of the most important things that you can do to lose weight.  It is important to eat healthy but you will be amazed at how much you can lose weight by sheer movement.  Many times people think that they have to be a member of a gym.  This is not the case.  There are many ways you can move to lose weight.

Stand instead of sit when you’re at your computer at least half of the time.  It takes more calories to stand and bend over to type and look at your screen then to sit in your chair.

Tap your foot and alternate between feet while you are sitting.  During commercials get up and walk around the room.  In fact, get up to change the volume or the channel on the television.

While you’re sitting, move your arms.  You can even hold a 2 litre soda bottle while you’re lifting your arms up and down.

No matter how you move, just move.  The more you move the more calories you burn.  If you get your heart racing and your cardio up, you can even boost your  metabolism to burn the food that you have and the fat at a faster rate.
