It IS easy being green

I don’t know what it is about tea, but there’s something that intimidates me. Maybe it’s the European factor (don’t they all drink it?) or maybe it’s the different varieties (black, white, iced?). Whatever the reason, despite the many health benefits we all read about, I haven’t yet made it a regular part of my diet.
My only attempt has been with green tea, which I like with honey, or Crystal Light Green Tea-to-go, an especially sweet and refreshing drink in the summer. Still, I know there are so many reasons to give green tea it a chance - according to WomensHealthMag.com, research shows it protects against heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s, and osteoporosis, and it increases your fat-fighting metabolism. The same website offers another way to get green tea into your diet - eat it. From cakes to cereal, there are creative options to get the antioxidants you may otherwise be missing out on. I think I’ll start with these “Think outside the bag” suggestions. And I’ll figure out the rest of the varieties later.
