Over Weight Patients Might Not Be Fit For Technology
July 25th, 2006 by Marsha James
As the years roll by and technology excels doctors are relying on more technical diagnosis given by medical machinery such as MRI’s, computed tomography, and X-Rays. However with millions of Americans becoming more and more over weight, some cannot fit into these machines and those that can, may not recieve a great diagnosis because of fuzzy and unreadable scans due to extra layers of fat.
The number of inconclusive scans have almost doubled in 15 years from 0.10% to 0.19%.
